Dear Carter & Mary,

We wanted to write to express our great sorrow at the passing of your dad.  Col. Newton was a man who always reached out to others - he helped our family in so many ways.  He was a man who we looked up to because of his work, his humor, his passion for life and his kindness.  We'll truly miss him, and our hearts are with you now.  We our sending our love to Mrs. Newton, Kim and Barry too.
